Brent Bankston was born and raised in Waco and graduated from  Robinson High School. Following in his parents’ footsteps with an eye for business,  he chose to stay in Waco to attend MCC and Baylor University while simultaneously working at the family’s store, Bankston's Cards and Collectibles. Eventually, he took over day to day operations of the store. After 39 years of running Bankston’s, he has grown the business into a Waco must-see attraction. Brent has always personally taken care of his customers. So much so, that he now has customers bringing their children and grandchildren into the store to share their hobbies.

Brent is thrilled to be married to Lee Bankston of Butter My Biscuit fame and together they have three children - Madison (husband Bernie), Holland, and Bax. Brent and Lee are also super excited for their first grandchild due in late July.

Brent is an elder at Redeemer Church. He has helped in many roles for the Texas Sports Hall of Fame and is a frequent speaker for entrepreneurship and business classes at Baylor.

Brent’s favorite things are slower times with good friends and family, Monday ‘Date Days’ with Lee, and a bottle of wine.
