GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:          

The Development Operations Intern will support the internal systems, data management, and digital infrastructure of the Development Department. This role focuses on maintaining accurate donor records, supporting fundraising operations, and ensuring FAC’s online platforms are current, functional, and aligned with organizational goals.

 

This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role critical to keeping development efforts organized, efficient, and effective.

 

TIME REQUIREMENTS:

  • One (1) semester (Summer or Fall 2026)
  • About 10 – 20 hours per week
  • Reliable and consistent availability
  • FAC Staff Meetings first Wednesday of the month at 2 pm (Encouraged)
  • Ability to handle sensitive donor and organizational information
  • Occasional weekends depending on scheduled activities
  • Occasional evenings depending on scheduled activities

Education:      

  • Current college student or recent graduate in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, and/or related fields
  • Experience working with website platforms (WordPress, Squarespace, ect.)
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care

Experience:

  • 1 year experience in the field of Domestic Violence or working with children who have experienced trauma preferred, or the same amount of residential services and/or case management experience.  
  • Experience in social, educational, child development or human service field required. 

Skills/Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy (this role is data-heavy)
  • Organized and able to manage multiple systems and tasks
  • Comfortable working with databases and learning new software
  • Basic website editing or content management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and follow processes
  • Strong communication skills for internal coordination
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to troubleshoot issues
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism

License/Credentials:

  • Valid Texas Driver's License and clear driving record. 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROGRAM COORDINATOR:

  • Enter and maintain donor information, gifts, and records in Blackbaud Raisers Edge NXT
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of donor data for reporting and communication
  • Assist with gift processing, acknowledgments and database cleanup
  • Maintain and update FAC websites
  • Assist with direct mail preparation and donor communications
  • Maintain organized records and files for development activities
  • Coordinate with the Development team to ensure accurate information flow
