ABOUT FAMILY ABUSE CENTER
Family Abuse Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Our mission is to eliminate domestic violence in Central Texas by sheltering victims of domestic violence and by preventing abuse from occurring through intervention and education.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:
The Operations Manager is responsible for handling repairs and maintenance tasks at the facility. Their main duties include conducting repairs and general facility maintenance, maintaining the facility grounds, overseeing contracts with outside vendors for larger renovation projects, managing donations pick up, intake, and organization, as well as maintaining the warehouse facilities and inventory.

Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Relevant certification(s) preferred
Experience:
- Two years’ relevant work experience
- Experience working with diverse population and groups
Skills/Abilities
- Basic knowledge and experience in driving a cargo van
- Ability to use small hand tools and work on a ladder
- Ability to conduct basic dry wall, plumbing, and electrical repairs
- Familiarity with safe work principles and practices.
- Understanding preventive maintenance procedures for building mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in performing custodial tasks, such as simple landscape maintenance and changing air filters.
- Capability to conduct daily property inspections to ensure high safety standards are maintained.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation of donations
- Demonstrates effectiveness as a member of a team as well as the ability to work independently
- Maintains a stable, dependable work schedule, arriving on time and fulfilling all responsibilities
License/Credentials:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Case Managers in facilitating clients' transition into the housing program
- Conduct weekly assessments, test drives, and refueling of all FAC vehicles ensuring proper tagging and inspection, including the FAC trailer
- Demonstrate knowledge and adherence to safe work principles and practices
- Collect donations/orders as required
- Maintain inventory of maintenance equipment and supplies.
- Uphold and embody the agency's mission statement and objectives
- Perform routine maintenance on building mechanical systems, custodial tasks, landscape upkeep, air filter changes, etc.
- Conduct daily property inspections including playground areas to uphold safety standards
- Interpret operating manuals accurately when necessary
- Fulfill any additional tasks delegated by the supervisor
