Born on Eglin Air Force base in Florida, Amy is the sixth of what would end up being ten children. Her family moved several times including to the country Panama. Her father, Major Mike Haydukovich – a man of great integrity and work ethics, retired from the military after serving 22 years and at her mother’s request, moved the family to Winslow, Arizona to be close to the grandparents. Yes, Amy has stood on the corner in Winslow, Arizona! Her father then worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. Amy’s mother, Joan, was the biggest influence in her life setting the greatest example of Christian love and sacrifice.
Amy was a gymnast from an early age, active in many other sports and loved dance most. That brought her to the University of Arizona where she studied Sports Sciences and Dance. It was there that she met the love of her life, Mack, who is currently the Vice President of Athletics at Baylor University. And just like in her childhood, moving would be a theme in her life due to athletics, a total of eight times to date.
After teaching High School Physical Education classes, Amy taught Mommy and Me classes at local gyms as well as dance and gymnastics of all ages during her moves from state to state. She is the proud mother of three beautiful daughters: Nicolette, Natalie and Noelle, all born in December and two years apart. Her daughters attended her classes, including when Amy was a first-grade teacher. She is very proud to have taught her girls how to read and do bulletin boards. Amy’s daughters are now married to three wonderful men – Christian (Nicolette), Andrew (Natalie) and Mason (Noelle) and she is so very blessed to have a grandson, Gerard.
Currently, Amy is the First Lady of Baylor Athletics, Board member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, President of the Women’s Society at St. Jerome and most importantly CEO of the Rhoades Family.
